An agency of the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, the Kentucky Heritage Council is the State Historic Preservation Office, responsible for the identification, protection a​nd preservation of prehistoric resources and historic buildings, sites and cultural resources throughout the Commonwealth.
