Archaeology Conference


The annual KHC Archaeology Conference is hosted by KHC Site Protection Program staff to highlight historic and prehistoric cultural resources and as an opportunity for archaeologists and historic preservation and allied professionals to share information and research findings about their work. KHC serves as the state historic preservation office. 

The 2025 KHC Archaeology Conference will be held February 28th - March ​2, 2025 at Kenlake State Resort Park.​ ​

Registration for attendees will be $25.00. 
Student registration will be $20.00 

There will be a roundtable discussion and dinner Friday night. Dinner will be $25.00 per person. 
Please NOTE: We MUST pay the park for the dinner in advance so you MUST PREPAY for dinner no later than January 1st

Rooms have been blocked under the group name: KY Heritage Council 2025 Archaeology Conference. Rooms must be booked no later than January 1, 2025. Depending on the room types, price varies from $82.69 (single occupancy) - $194.29 (cottage) per night.

Call for Presentations: 
  • Traditional 20-minute presentation, or 15-minute presentation w/opportunity for questions after presentation.
  • Due January 1st. 
  • Please keep in mind the opportunity to roll your presentation into an article for the next volume of Current Archaeological Research in Kentucky.
